More about this item

The time period and clay suggest construction at The Archie Bray foundation but there is no way to verify.

Signed To Shirley from Rudy Autio 1951.

This item was acquired from the estate of the subject and has never been offered for sale prior to this listing. We will provide the name of the subject to the purchaser only. The subject, like Rudy Autio, is also a Montana native, artist and potter. Both were students of Frances Senska although its not clear they were students at the same time. The item was formed in 2 halves and joined together with slip prior to firing. The joint did not hold and the item was subsequently joined with glue. The detail images show the 2 piece construction, different color slip and glue. The images also show scattered surface cracks that are the result of drying and firing the clay. This is a VERY sturdy piece weighing in at 21 pounds and measuring 13" tall, 12" wide and deep. Shipping weight is 24LBS.

Measures 13" tall, 12" wide.

The item pictured is the exact item you will receive.
